Italian restaurants, sub shops, calzone counters and Italian delis sit next to the pizzerias on this site because most of them bake pizza too, often from the same dough. Full-service Italian restaurants take reservations for dinner, add a tip line for table service (15-20% is customary) and usually run a cheaper lunch menu on weekdays. Sub and sandwich shops are counter-order and quick, with sizes by the inch or in half and whole lengths. Calzones and strombolis are priced like a medium pizza and are large enough to share. Italian delis and bakeries sell by weight and by the piece, and many close mid-afternoon.

Long Beach is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Long Beach follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Amazing restaurant. Don't let the low key outside give you the wrong impression. Authentic and fresh Italian food was so delicious! Wish we lived closer. Came all the way from OC after doing a Google search. Such excellent service and fresh food. Wine was delicious! Sorry I didn't take any pics but can't say anything was disappointing. Had the Eggplant flower...so good and pasta and then eggplant Parmesan..finished by Tiramisu..

We came across this place while we were nearby on a Sunday afternoon. Reviews looked terrific, the menu had cioppino which is my husband's favorite seafood dish, so we stopped in for an early dinner. Marco, our waiter, was very courteous and sold us on their special of the day (ravioli with shrimp, topped with tomatoes in a seafood sauce). I ordered that, and husband ordered cioppino and a glass of pinot grigio. For appetizers we ordered the calamari. We were served some bread with olive oil and vinegar while we waited. The calamari was chewy. Plus there were pieces of shrimp and slices of zucchini, potatoes, and onions, acting as fillers. Strange. Not a good start. Then, the cioppino came in a big dish which looked promising, but turned out to be more or less a tomato puree soup with a few pieces of seafood thrown in it. Husband was not impressed. My ravioli special was COLD. The tomato topping was piping hot, but the first ravioli I cut into and tasted, I thought to myself, why do I detect cold temperature in my mouth? Turned out the ravioli fillings were all ice cold. Like the chef never bothered to boil them. Plus, the ravioli wrapping itself was super tough. Nothing about my

I ordered Cacio e Pepe. Based on the positive reviews I thought I'd actually get it. Instead I got butter noodles with some parmesan and boiled chicken. If this is norm, it should be removed from the menu. There was no pepper at all. The dish is named cheese and pepper. It doesn't seem complicated. This was a to go order, so by the time I discovered the issue it wasn't easy to resolve.

Found a new favorite Sunday night spot! We visited for the first time and were immediately impressed by the warm atmosphere and tasteful decor. The seating is plentiful, so it felt comfortable and not overly crowded. βThe highlight was the Sunday special: 40% off bottles of wine. We shared an excellent Super Tuscan that paired perfectly with the food. For dinner, we had the Eggplant Parmigiana and the Contadina. Both were authentic, flavorful, and clearly prepared with care. The staff was incredibly friendly and made the night feel special. Highly recommend if youβre in Long Beach!

Two pasta dishes were too salty, pizza tasted like it came out of a box. Prices are way too high for the quality and quantity of food. Waiter was sweating and you can see drips of his sweat on his face. Need to wipe face before coming to the table. He and staff were very nice and the place is charming.
